It's Never Too Late to Join In!

Welcome to Home Sanctuary, where my theme for 2008 is "Sanctuary is in the Small Things!"  Each weekday, I am posting one simple activity you can do along with me and a few hundred Company Girls to help you make your home a sanctuary for your family.  Just click on the Company Girl button in my left sidebar and you'll find all the information you need to join in the fun!  There's even a cute tally sheet Download TallyMay.pdf to help you keep track of points you earn.  And check out our prizes this month. We aren't working too hard, but we are making just a little bit of progress every day to make something wonderful happen at home!

Whatcha waitin' for??  C'Mon!  Be a Company Girl!!

Hey... got a good little thing if you run out of ideas. How about dusting/vacuuming/cleaning your ceiling fans and changing the air filters in the house. I just know that mine need it. Have a great day!

Good morning company girl. I haven't been doing the tasks. Well I did them for the first 3 days! If I go back and start at the beginning can I still do them and count the points? Or is that defeating the whole purpose of small things? I'd like to win that book. Rhondi

The points only count on the day the task is given...just to keep us from proscrastinating! But don't let that stop you from doing the small things any time! Hang in there, do what you can, when you can.

Oh I am so excited about doing this one little thing. I can do that! I found you site through Money Saving Mom! I like your ideas.

This is super cool...
I am not good at keeping things un-cluttered and clean -- this is my pledge for this year, so I will be back her often to get/stay motivated!
Thanks!

I was just perusing Laura's blog (I'm an Organizing Junkie), and I saw her company girl badge...so I thought I would check it out. What a cool idea!

I'm a professional organizer, and I TOTALLY agree with doing the small things. I like to foot-stomp that one a lot! :)

I've had such a good time reading your blog, that I'm gonna swipe one of those badges for myself.

Feel free to drop by my blog anytime...

Oh, I think I want to join! I so need this.
I'm a 40-something mommy to two girls, and we home school. As I type, laundry is piled up nearby...I so want to make our home more of a sanctuary. This is a wonderful idea- thank you for starting it!

In case you need it, my e-mail is tnt4HIM@verizon.net

Blessings,
Tammy (Family Doin's)

And here I thought I was the only one who LOVES Johnny Cash, especially "Ring of Fire"!

Just wanted you to know... I miss our small things posts on the weekends! And, since I watched the "clean a loo" video, I am more conscientious and thorough when I clean the bathrooms. Hope you're having a good weekend!

Great song today! I had bubbles in my sink for handwashing, bubbles in my washing machine for laundry, bubbles on the dog because he didn't smell very good, and I'm hoping for a bubble bath tonight.

What a great blog! And such encouragement..bless you! I am going to sit a spell and read all of it.
Blessings, Patty

I could use something new to keep me motivated. Some really great ideas here!

rachel anne,

i read and enjoy your blog, very, very much. i do hereby award you the "excellent blog award" go to my blog and see what it is, okay?

Rachael Ann, I am really enjoying being a company girl! I was wondering, when will we have the new sheet to keep track of February's small things? I do better if I have something to write them down on and keep track of all the small things that I'm doing to make my home a sanctuary. : )
Thanks, Melissa

Rachel Anne, I am so sorry if I spelled your name wrong in previous posts! I have a daughter named Rachael and my husband insisted on putting in an extra "a" because it was "pretty." : ) That's why I may have spelled it wrong in the past. I'll try to get it right now.
Melissa

This morning/afternoon I took the time to do some sewing that I've been wanting to do, but putting off. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, around a year ago I happened onto your mural site and was so impressed! Now I happened onto your Home Sanctuary site through Adventurous Living and am so blessed! :) Beautiful site and I would like to become a Company Girl..did I link to the right site?
I'll be back..

Blessings to you,
Laurie

I'm a late start and won't be in any runny for February but now that I know what those points actually mean, I will start tallying and tracking! This is such a great blog!

God bless,
Sallie

Hi there. I found your blog through a link. How neat is this! So how many points is each home blessing? Is it 10 for each? I would like to participate but how often do I need to or should post rather?

Hi Rachel Anne! I was looking at the blog roll and I don't seem to be on that one or the non blogger one. Could you please add me? http://sevenmatters.blogspot.com/
Thanks!
Have a great day
Melissa

Hi Rachel Anne! I am loving your blog. You have great ideas.....thank you for this. It gives me inspiration and motivation. I am joining in. Even if it is to have Sanctuary in the Small Things. I have my verse on my bulletin board right above my computer monitor.
Have a blessed rest of your day.

I have sent you an email about becoming a Company Girl. I'm glad to hear it's not to late. It sounds wonderful. ~smile~
Blessings,
Tracy
